Established in
1998, Sane will be celebrating our 12th
Year Anniversary in 2010 and continue to
grow from strength to strength with a core
team of 13 staff underpinning our service
capabilities.
Our re-branding in 2009 to the Sane Event
Group marks the evolution of Sane from a
logistics services organisation, into a
streamlined provider of marketing, technology,
creative and travel solutions offering a
variety of event management services.
An organisation is nothing without its
team however, and the Sane
Team comes with a plethora of expertise
right across the event management spectrum
including multi language skills, IT Management,
Incentive, Exhibition and Sponsorship specialists.
Sane Event Group are also the proud owners
of a ‘Family Friendly Award’,
presented to Sane by the Minister of Industrial
Affairs for our ‘Family Friendly Policies’. If you would like to find out more about our
policies and how we won the award, please

Best Practices Policy
The Sane Event Group understands that organisations
today have an obligation to their clients,
shareholders, members, customers and suppliers
alike to comply with regulatory requirements
for sustainable business management practices.
At Sane, we work hand in hand with our clients
requirements and have developed a sustainable
and ethical policy platform allowing us
to manage complete compliance across 6 main
focal areas as follows:
• Labour Workplace Policy
Sane Event Group subscribes to the monthly
'Workplace Law' newsletter enabling us to
remain up to date with any changes to Industrial
Relations Policy. Our workplace policies
strictly adhere to any Clerical Award requirements
and Management regularly review these policies
with staff.
All staff are provided with access to the
current entitlements and are updated at
weekly staff meetings on changes to any
policies.
• OHS Policy
Sane Event Group manages a full OHS program
and has appointed Ashley Partridge as our
OHS officer. Our staff have access to a
detailed handbook addressing all current
OHS issues and procedures as adopted by
Sane and our weekly meetings address any
issues at hand with actionable tasks.
•
Risk Management
Policy
Sane event policies and procedures includes
a full business continuity plan handbook
detailing all facets of our business such
as personnel, operational procedures and
equipment in regards to disaster recovery
and emergency response plans. Sane also
documented a full emergency response plan
for onsite and offsite incidents.
• Environment Policy
Maintaining an effective and measurable
Environmental Policy is an important part
of the Sane Group ethos. Careful consideration
has been made to incorporate recommendations
by the PCO Associations guidelines, allowing
us to qualify for accreditation in this
sector.
Many clients demand compliance in environmental
policies with their suppliers these days,
and the Sane Group are able to deliver on
all fronts.
We endeavour to improve the world around
us environmentally and socially by adhering
to the following 4 rules:
1. We will comply with applicable legal
and regulatory requirements as well as company
standards plus conduct regular audits to
verify compliance.
2. We will work with all 3rd party suppliers
and customers to produce events that have
a measurably reduced carbon footprint
3. Our internal policies and procedures
will reflect the conservation of natural
resources, recycling, source reduction and
pollution control to ensure cleaner air
and water and to reduce landfill wastes.
We will share environmental best practices
across the company.
4. We will apply sound environmental management
practices over and above the recommendations,
where, in our judgment, existing legal requirements
are insufficient for our operations.
• Corporate
Governance and Ethics Policy
Sane complies with all laws and regulations
on bribery, corruption and prohibited business
practices and all staff are issued with
an ethical policy on employment. All staff
have access to an escalation policy in the
event of an unresolved issue, which is all
documented for referral.
All staff are required to utilise the Policies
and Procedures manual for all allocated
tasks, and full job descriptions are issued
on engagement and reviewed annually.
• Supplier Policy
Sane Event Group scrutinises suppliers to
ensure that they are compliant in their
practices as above where applicable.
Our suppliers are subject to a service level
agreement to ensure that they adopt an ethical
business practice, that they manage an OHS
policy internally and onsite, that they
adopt as strong an environmental policy
to compliment Sane's policy, that they have
appropriate measures in place for deliverability
of services and have a risk management and
disaster recovery policy in place.
